Judging Philosophy:
The four main qualities I am listening for are tone, intonation, timing, and technique, taking into consideration content and execution. I want to hear a sound stylist and will be judging what each contestant displays at that moment in time and not a past performance. Each player should choose tunes they are comfortable performing and play consistently well rather than venturing into tunes that are technically beyond their ability.
