 Rudi Booher – Yoncalla, ORThursday, Friday, Saturday: (Seniors, Senior Seniors, Young Adults, Grand Champion, and Twin Fiddling Round 2)
A former National Champ at Weiser, Idaho, Rudi has won many championship titles and awards for his outstanding fiddling style. He has taught numerous music workshops throughout the U.S, as well as judging contests around the country. He has been one of the main instructors at the Booher Family Music Camp for the past 20 years ( http://www.boohermusiccamp.com). Rudi currently lives on a small farm near Yoncalla, Oregon, with his wife, Carla, and their six children. Rudi owns and operates Main Street Espresso in Yoncalla.
Philosophy:
Since music is an expression of the soul, good fiddling should be more than just perfect notes. Here are some of the things I listen for when judging: good intonation, good rhythm, technical ability and individuality of style.
